1. Introduction

Welcome to Oceana,  a UAE-based provider of custom-made curtains and blinds. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Products & Services

We provide made-to-measure curtains and blinds tailored to your specifications. All items are custom-produced and installed through our network of trusted partners.

3. Bookings

A booking is made when a customer provides their details and selects a slot via our website. A booking is considered confirmed only when the customer’s phone number has been successfully verified:

  • Either by entering the One-Time Password (OTP) at the time of booking on the website, or

  • If OTP verification fails or is not completed, by confirming via WhatsApp after receiving a notification from our team.

If the phone number is not verified, Oceana reserves the right to hold or cancel the booking until verification is successfully completed. Bookings do not constitute an order. An order will only be placed once payment is made according to the options detailed in Section 5.

4. Order Confirmation & Modifications

Orders are confirmed when one of the following is received:

  • Full upfront payment

  • 50% advance payment

  • First installment of a three-month payment plan

Customers have a 24-hour window after payment to cancel or request changes to their order. Any changes made within the 24-hour period may incur additional charges depending on the nature of the change.

After 24 hours, the order is considered locked, enters production, and can no longer be cancelled or refunded.

5. Pre-Installation Requirements

Prior to installation, the customer must confirm the following:

  • Authorization and approval for drilling during the scheduled timeslot from building management (Work Permit if required).

  • Electricity connection is active at the installation site.

  • The installation area is ready, with no ongoing construction or obstacles.

  • The proposed installation date has been confirmed with Oceana.

The installation will be performed strictly according to the specifications in the quotation, including product selection, fabric type, and any agreed instructions. Once the installation is completed as per the quotation, it will be considered finalized.

We will not be responsible for any complaints, issues, or delays resulting from changes, deviations, or additions outside the original quotation. Failure to meet any of these conditions may result in rescheduling and additional charges.

6. Payment Terms

We offer three payment options:

  1. Full upfront payment

  2. 50% advance payment, 50% due at installation

  3. Monthly payment plan (3 installments) — managed in-house with a small service fee

Orders are only confirmed once one of these payment options is completed.

7. Payment Methods

Payments for orders are accepted via:

  • Credit Card: Visa and Mastercard, payable online on our website or via a secure Stripe link.

  • Bank Transfer: Accepted for upfront payments or in case of issues with card payments.

  • Cash: Accepted only for upfront payments, either during the measurement visit or at the Oceana office.

8. Delivery & Installation

We aim to complete installations within 5 working days from the date of payment and order confirmation, subject to availability and supplier readiness.

Timelines may vary depending on production, scheduling, or unforeseen circumstances. Delivery and installation will follow the customer’s confirmed order details.

If any issues occur during installation, customers will be notified with next steps and updated timelines.

In case of product or service issues, customers may be eligible for compensation (discount, exchange, or another agreed solution). To initiate a resolution, customers must notify us in writing within 7 days of installation. Requests received after this period may not be considered.

9. Outstanding Balances & Legal Enforcement

The remaining 50% payment is due the day after a successful installation (unless a monthly plan is in place).

If payment is not received, we reserve the right to refer the debt to a collection agency and initiate legal proceedings. Associated fees will be borne by the customer.

If installation issues are reported on the installation day, the remaining payment will be deferred until the issue is resolved.

Penalty for Failed Payments:

  • Day 3 (after due date): AED 300 penalty will apply to any unpaid invoices.

  • Subsequent days: AED 30 will be added for each additional day of non-payment.

  • After 14 days: Legal action may be taken to recover the balance and related costs. The customer agrees to bear all associated legal and collection fees.

10. Warranty & Quality

  • All fabrics and rails: 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

  • Motors and motorized accessories: 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects.

  • Warranty excludes damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, environmental conditions, or normal wear and tear.

  • Accessories and installation hardware are not covered unless explicitly stated.

  • Warranty applies only to items listed in the original quotation.

11. Cancellations & Refunds

Orders can be cancelled or modified only within 24 hours of payment. Changes requested after this period will not be accepted.

After 24 hours, production begins and refunds are not available unless the product is defective or incorrectly manufactured.

Once installation is complete and confirmed, no refunds will be issued as long as the product and service meet the agreed specifications.

12. Limitation of Liability

Oceana is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.
Our total liability is limited to the total amount paid for the product in question.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai.
