Measurement for bay window blinds is simple. Below is a relevant guide for a perfect fit bay window blind.
Tools required:
Take 2 straight-edged cards. With a pencil, mark a line parallel to the longer side of the card: 5cm for Roman Blinds and 7cm for Roller Blinds.
At a height, you are planning to install the blinds, hold the cards in one hand against the wall such that the lines you’ve drawn touch. Mark the point where the front edges of the card touch the wall.
From the outer edge of the window frame to the mark you made, measure the side windows. Measure the centre window between the two marks. Measure the height and installation height with the same procedure as that for blinds outside the recess in flat windows.
Measure the height from where you are planning to install your blind to the window sill or bottom of the recess, whichever you need, from each window. We recommend installing your blind up to 30cm above the window frame.
Measure the height from the point at which you will install the blind to the floor for each window. This is to ensure your pull chain is at the correct height.
