Our curtains + blinds are patiently stitched by master makers with decades of experience. You won’t find mass produced products here. And all of our suppliers have been assessed for their social and environmental performance and their supply chain transparency following B Corp standards.
We believe local supply should meet local demand, less crisscrossing the globe = lower carbon footprint. Where possible we use UK suppliers. When this is not possible we will tell you and look for the best alternative abroad that balances the need for beautiful quality fabrics with environmental impact.
Our partner mills in Lancashire produce high quality cotton velvets and cotton linens. When the world turned to cheaper synthetics in the 80s + 90s (like polyester + viscose) they stuck to their guns. We fell in love with their conviction as well as the quality of their natural fabrics.
Our partner mill in Yorkshire is a true innovator producing some of the world’s finest eco fabrics. They produce over 8 million metres of fabric a year and send nothing to landfill making them the perfect match for us.
Our workshops are a little bit different. Instead of using large factories, Curtains Dubai works with independent makers each chosen for their decades of experience and the quality of their needlework. Each of product is patiently hand stitched by a single master maker, rather than hurriedly manufactured by many hands in factory. We find this patient approach produces a superior product that will stand the test of time.
Our Devon-based pole and track providers appreciate the beauty of simplicity. They are master metal workers and wood turners. Their hardware is the perfect compliment to our curtains. Find out more about our pole and track range here
